I’m making some clip boards to sell at our craft sale coming up in a few weeks.
For my finish I’m using a mixture of equal parts of boiled linseed oil, mineral spirits and wipe-on polyurethane. It is a mixture I read about that is easy to apply, but the 5 coats over the course of 5 days makes me less inclined to use it for other projects.
I’m planning to make a couple more boards, but I wanted to see how well these would hold up to changes in temperature and humidity. So far only one has warped; but, it hasn’t been significant.
